Alan Hartles – Principal of True North Investments and Gareth Grey – UK Pension Specialist left Auckland on Saturday 5^th November to arrive well in advance of their first Opportunities Expo at the Novotel West Hotel - Hammersmith, London. On the Eve of the Expo Alan and Gareth were invited together with other exhibitors to a cocktail function at New Zealand House in Central London. The view from the Penthouse on the 18^th floor across the major central London land marks was stunning. The function provided an opportunity to meet their hosts – Working In who for 12 years has coordinated the event.  

At the Expo the site of our exhibit was placed alongside Opportunity Canterbury and other specialist recruitment companies, drawing much interest.   Over the two days we met many individuals wanting to migrate to New Zealand from all four corners of the UK and were kept busy with enquiries.

The Expo experience was increasingly rewarding for those visiting our exhibit discovering Gareth is a migrant himself having settled in New Zealand with his family back in 2005. Gareth was a financial adviser for a well-known Global bank prior to his migration. Asking Gareth about his move to New Zealand created much empathy with those enquiring about our services and about New Zealand life in general.
